The Camille Conte Show 4-24-2020

Johnny Depp inside The New Music Spotlight? Yes indeed as he and Jeff Beck offer their version of John Lennon's song, Isolation. Jon Bon Jovi co-writes his new song with his fans and brings a mirror to these times with If You Can't Do What You Do, Do What You Can and Moon Taxi delivers pure pop with their mood booster, Hometown Heroes. Plus notes from listeners on protestors and joy, and we wrap up National Poetry Month with a new one that's been delivered to me by my Muse entitled, "Questions for My Mother." Stay well. Enjoy.

The Camille Conte Show - Show 600! 4-17-2020

I celebrate the 600th show the only way I know how and that's by being real. Plus The New Music Spotlight shines its light on John Prine's first album of new songs in 13 years featuring, When I Get to Heaven and "The World Will Not Be Cancelled," a song written by Joe Raiola, the Artistic Director of Theatre Within and performed by The Kennedys with all the proceeds benefiting the free workshops that TW offers free of charge to those whose lives have been impacted by cancer. Inside Music News Ticketmaster actually sinks to a new low and we wrap up the show with a much needed laugh from The World's Greatest Joke Teller and The Joke of the Week. Enjoy.

The wonderful article about John Prine.

The Camille Conte Show 4-10-2020

This week's show starts off with questions, a lot of questions with not a whole lot of answers as we practice living in the discomfort of not knowing. The New Music Spotlight features powerhouse Shannon LaBrie, a fabulous new one from Griffin House and from the streets of New York, The Strokes land their first new album in 7 years, "The New Abnormal" and their new song, Bad Decisions. Plus, CC comes clean as Johnny Cash speaks truth to power and as Catholics all over the world prepare for Easter, I talk about my mom, her faith, my metaphyscial interpretation of the resurrection and play for you the most beautiful song ever written about Jesus. Enjoy.

The Camille Conte Show 4-3-2020

Very tender week with the news of Bill Withers and John Prine and this, my first birthday without my mom. And so we let the music do what it always does: heal, soothe, comfort. The New Music Spotlight features a new one from Jackson Browne, who also tested positive for COVID-19 though we're so grateful he's recovering at home, Eric Hutchinson's new one, Cooler Than You and from LA, Andy Frasco & the U.N. and a really great new tune, Feel It In Your Bones from his new album, "Keep On Keepin On." And a sweet first ever appearance on my show, back on April 4, 2013...The World's Greatest Joke Teller and her story of my arrival unto this world. Tell the people who matter to you that you love them. Love is all there is. Enjoy.
