The Interviews

I've interviewed a lot of amazing people over the last 30 years and it's been such a joy for me. Here are some of my favorites!

Springsteen Photographer, Frank Stefanko - Frank shares his stories of his earliest memories of holding a camera, meeting Patti Smith at college and how that connection led to what would become a lifelong friendship and professional relationship with Bruce Springsteen. What a thrill to talk to Frank about the Darkness on the Edge of Town album cover photo shoot as well as the photo he shot for The River album. This was an interview I'll never forget! What a great storyteller.

Photographer, Film Maker/Director, Event Organizer & Harmonica Player, Danny Clinch - The multi-talented Danny Clinch talks to me about his many creative outlets including his role as a photographer, film and documentary maker and director, his role in the festival Sea.Hear.Now and his uncanny talent for playing harmonica in his band, The Tangiers Blues band while holding his camera in the other! He also talks about the trust that is necessary between the photographer and their subjects and the inevitable marriage of his two great loves: the camera and music. Danny was incredible gracious with his time and stories.

Iconic Rock Photographer, Bob Gruen - Rock n Roll photographer, Bob Gruen fulfills a dream interview for me. We talk expansively about his early days as a photographer, meeting Tina Turner, photographing Bob Dylan, his historical work  capturing the punk scene in NYC during the '70's and of course, his relationship with Yoko Ono & John Lennon. Wait until he reminisces about the time he was invited into the recording booth with John to take some pictures and how the iconic scene of John on the rooftop came to be. Incredible.
