The Camille Conte Show #605 5-22-2020

Memorial Day Weekend is here and we use the music once again to lift our spirits during this wild and crazy time as we kick off the Summer of 2020. Though Bruce Springsteen wants a soft vanilla ice cream dipped in chocolate, CC's got her own idea of what she'll do first when this thing is all over and we take a deeper look into how the collapse of live music has fundamentally changed things for artists. The New Music Spotlight is fabulous with a high vibin' tune from Willie Nile's masterpiece of a new album, "New York at Night," Jason Mraz's new song, Look for the Good and the always positive Michael Franti's latest, I Got You. Plus news about the forthcoming new podcast, "The Confusion Experiment" and we wrap things up with The Joke of the Week.

Take good care of yourself this weekend and turn it up! Enjoy.

This week we have a very specific answer for the question, "How are you?" In fact, you can now sing your answer. This week we touch on the paradigm shift in the music industry because of the new world order while coping with the collective grief that's in the air. Plus The New Music Spotlight unleashes a great new tune from The Rolling Stones who after 50 years still know how to lay it down on "Living in a Ghost Town," Fiona Apple's new one, "Fetch the Bolt Cutters" is getting rave reviews and such a groove from Devon Gilfillian from his debut album, "Black Hole Rainbow" and the new song The Good Life. And because we need to keep the laughter in the mix, my mom deliver The Joke of the Week. Take good care of yourself and enjoy the show.
